Automated Key / Code and Software Delivery (real time order delivery)Key / code delivery implies sending by email to the customer an alphanumeric code or a binary activation key. Using it, the customer can unlock a license. Avangate has developed and offers you the entire delivery mechanism for codes or binary keys, through several methods:
- Codes from static lists, added in the Avangate system and delivered one by one (stock)
- Codes from dynamic lists, generated in real time by interrogating your web server
Product Hosting & Delivery
We can also use link delivery to distribute your software products. Your customers can download quickly and easily a fully registered version of your digital products from the Avangate secure server right after successfully placing an order.
Customers receive an email containing the download links for each of the digital products they have purchased. The download URLs give them access to the relevant files and are limited in time and number of tries.
Another benefit is that you will not have to worry about storage space or bandwidth since the product files are stored on the Avangate high bandwidth servers.
Download Insurance Service
With Download Insurance Service you can give your clients the option of re-downloading the software, for two full years, at anytime, and do not have to bother with back-ups or CD cases. The service is optional and does not affect the commission scheme and it brings you additional revenue because you can add as much as you want to the Avangate basic fee.
Backup CD&DVD Service
This service enables vendors to offer end-user customers personalized burn-on-demand CDs and DVDs of the software they just purchased through the Avangate eCommerce platform. Customization of the Avangate Backup CD/DVD is complete, both in terms of content and layout; vendors gain additional promotional and sales opportunities as each backup CD/DVD sold can include trial copies of other software programs, special offers, presentations, etc.
You can choose the way you want to wrap the software, both for Back-up CD and DVD:
- In paper sleeve
- DVD Box - with full customizable layout
You can now, effortlessly and with no need for technical abilities, optimize the Backup CD/DVD with specific data: name of buyer, name of the purchased products and license codes with Backup CD&DVD customization Tool.
No set-up fees, no inventory and no minimum order volumes are required.
Shipping Module
If besides software you also deliver physical products Avangate makes it easy for you to calculate the final price including the shipping costs according to the region of the world the product is being shipped.
With this module you can manage:
- Shipping taxes for physical deliveries
- Shipping zones to define shipping cost for different regions
- Shipping classes / define electronic or physically delivered products
Instant Delivery Notification (IDN)
The actual software can be delivered by Avangate, or directly by yourself, in which case you can use the Avangate Instant Delivery Notification (IDN) system, allowing your own system to send automatic delivery confirmations in order to finalize payments without your manual intervention in the Control Panel.
Controlled Order Completion
The Avangate system allows a delayed order completion for vendors who prefer to do the actual software delivery themselves. This works in the following way: a customer places an order via the Avangate ordering interface. The payment is approved by the issuing bank and subsequently the amount corresponding to the order is blocked on the shopper's card.
The vendor receives a notification regarding the order. He is then able to proceed with product delivery. Only after delivery is confirmed by the vendor the payment is cleared and the money transferred from the shopper's card to the Avangate bank account.
The advantage of this system is that in cases where customers do not want the product anymore or in cases of fraud, the vendor does not pay any commission, as there is no need for a refund. Without the delayed order completion feature in case of refund for instance, the vendor would have to pay the processing commission.
