>>What's Hot In This Issue?

Hi,

Summer time! Don’t you just hate Mondays and slow summers? My colleagues from the marketing and sales department have prepared a special Monday morning antidote,  for Avangate Digest readers and ASP members only, which goes like this:

Sign up with Avangate on a Monday (like today) and increase your profits during the summer with the Avangate antidote:

6.9% commission per transaction.

To enjoy this limited offer (until 1st of September) sign-up and mention the “pass code”: Monday Morning Antidote (in Additional questions or comments).

In the meanwhile, to spice up our summer as well, we have been busy making preparations for the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference and Software Industry Conference.

At SIC, I would like to invite you to our hospitality suite (yes this year we welcome you with coffee and snacks) for some software marketing and ecommerce chat or just to say "Hi!".

My colleague Carmen SEBE (CEO at Avangate) will have a presentation about Capitalizing on Foreign Markets and I will speak in two sessions: one about Social Networking Media and another one about Effective Advertising and Marketing with low budgets.  So, for sure you can’t miss us!

We welcome feedback. If you would like to share your thoughts, please don't hesitate to email me directly at adriana.iordan@avangate.com.

I hope you enjoy this newsletter!
Until next time,
Adriana Iordan

Cool places to hang out

by Roxana Patrichi

signal vs noise Signal vs Noise is the blog of 37 signals, a very successful company that among other things created Ruby on Rails, an open source web development platform. The feeds I read almost daily from them really inspire me to go further into the ecommerce business and in the same time loosen up with great posts on design. The community created around it is anxious to give feedback to any idea you might have, so I would also recommend it for first time testing wild thoughts before turning them into reality..

getelastic Getelastic.com is another blog of an inspiring company, "Elastic Path Software", that creates ecommerce software "to help retailers sell more and work less", as they like to say it. Active for more than two years now, the blog is so specialized in ecommerce that you would have never thought subjects analyzed here have anything to do with this line of business. The small, the obvious, the hidden details of online stores keep my eyes sharp for usability audits I do for our clients.

search engine land Searchengineland.com is what the title tells you - everything about search engines is here. No matter if you want to be up to date with changes in search engine rules or practices, or just want to know juicy stuff about personnel or management moves, you should check on it. Given the overwhelming quantity on daily content they add to the site, I know that whenever I need a SEO tip or trip, it's the first resource I turn to.
