What is ARMS?

ARMS (Avangate Resellers Management System) represents a Reseller Partner Management System, a software platform specifically designed to handle software sales through Resellers distribution platform.
The platform helps Vendors to effortlessly handle all Partners Management aspects, integrating partner relationship management, customizable license schemes and multiple pricing products, license renewal, order tracking and billing invoicing, online payments, real time sales and info reporting with evolution graphics, customer support together with Electronic Software Delivery keys models and end-customer software registration for an enhanced visibility and control over your target market.

Who can use ARMS?
|

ARMS can be used by any Vendor who sells software through a distribution channel with his Resellers Partners or is planning to start selling through a distribution network. The system is already integrated with online eCommerce platforms (Avangate, Google Checkout, PayPal).

Why would my Reseller Partners agree to use a new electronic distribution system?
|
|
AMRS processes orders faster and allocates automatically license codes/ registration codes to each order. Also, all communication is done in a standardized fashion, aiding considerably international collaboration.
Resellers also have access to the license registration system that captures end-customer information, and thus benefit from increased sales from license renewals.

How do I communicate with resellers?
|

ARMS has a built in secure notification module that aids communication between vendors and resellers, similar in many ways to a standard email client.

What do I need to input into the system?
|
|
If you are a Vendor you need to input Reseller Partners, products prices information and a few financial details (such as exchange rates and bank accounts).

Order & Delivery /Sales Info

Which is the software key delivery model used by ARMS?
|
|
A Vendor can set for his partners/resellers one of the following licenses key delivery models:
- Activation Keys (AK). In this case license keys are delivered directly to Partners without being encrypted and without partners being asked to insert end customer information;
- Registration Keys/Activation Keys (RK/AK). In this case license keys are delivered in an encrypted way to Partners together with Activation Links. After end customers submit data by completing forms in the Activation Links, license codes are delivered directly to End Customer by email and end customer data is stored in ARMS database available for vendor and reseller.
- Activation Keys with End Customer Information (AK+CI). In this case license codes are delivered to Partners/Resellers only after Partner inserts End customer information before transaction is completed.
ARMS has been developed to ensure that vendors have the right mechanism at their disposal in order to be able to collect end-customer information.

Does Avangate deliver the software as well?
|
|
No, this is done either by the reseller or by the vendor, depending on the license system used.

How can a reseller place an order?
|
|
After a Reseller is approved by a Vendor a login access is created for each Reseller. Once Resellers login into their Control Panel account they have access to the system and then simply go to Orders/ Add new order and place orders with Vendors products.

How quickly do you process an order?
|
|
Usually it takes couple of seconds to complete an order. Resellers select Vendor products and add them to their shopping cart, select payment method and make online payment. ARMS allows Vendors to set for each Partners following settings “Autoconfirm” orders and “Autogenerate” invoice which makes process on selling to be very fast no longer than couple of seconds. However process of selling it might take longer if Vendor does not set for his Partners – “Autoconfirm” orders with “Autogenerate invoice” or other payment methods different than Credit/Debit cards via Wire Transfer, Bank Transfer in this case according to payment method used transaction time can be increased related with time necessary to confirm Wire or Bank transfer information.

What reports do I have access to?
|
|
Reports are available online and can be generated by various criteria such as grouping sales by Partners, Country, Account managers, products or a selection of products, time spans and list continues. You can also view reports of registered end-customers.

What does a reseller have access to?
|
|
Resellers have access to visualize lists with products and their associated license information and prices set by Vendor, track orders placed by themselves, track invoices they need to pay and also to visualize lists of registered end-customers corresponding to their orders and licenses ordered.

If I have overdue invoices do I get notified automatically?
|
|
Overdue invoices are displayed on the home page of your ARMS account. Take action right there.

How can resellers pay for their orders?
|
|
They can pay via wire transfer, bank transfer or they can also pay online using a debit or a credit card through Avangate - eCommerce platform for online software sales. Also Vendor has possibility to add other payment methods through Google Checkout and PayPal.

Can I set credit limits for my resellers?
|
|
Yes, you can set many parameters for your resellers most important one being credit limits, margins, types and price lists and list with products for each reseller. You can later modify this parameter as you agree with you resellers.

How often do I get my money from ARMS with eCommerce platform Avangate if resellers pay online?
|
|
You will discuss this aspect with your account manager before signing the contract. Usually, the amounts charged to your resellers are transferred to you once a month, through wire transfer, on the 16th of each month, for the previous month of sales. The payment can be made more often if a minimum volume of transactions through Avangate is reached.

How do I see end-customer information?
|
|
You have access to a list including the following fields: Order number, Partner Name, Product, Date license expires, Customer name, Customer Email. You can sort and filter the list by various criteria. You can also have a detailed view of each record, containing more fields, including end-customer address and country of origin, full license details and additional order information, including purchase price.

Do end-customers have to register online?
|
|
If Vendor agrees with his Reseller Partner to use Activation Keys delivery model for his license keys (activation keys) then end-customers do not need to register online their data. If Vendor agrees with his Reseller Partner to use Activation Keys + Customer Information delivery then end-customers do not need to register online their data because Reseller is filling in a form in the moment of the order into ARMS interface. If Vendor agrees with his Reseller Partner to use Registration Keys/Activation Keys delivery model then end-customer registration is mandatory as activation keys are delivered only subsequent to supplying customer information, together with the registration codes. The layout of the form for capturing end-customer information is customizable by the vendor by editing his default template into ARMS interface.

How secure is the online payment system?
|
|
All transactions are made using a SSL connection (128 bytes) provided by
Verisign. Also, for cards issued under MasterCard and VISA, card information is filled in directly on banks' systems. For cards issued under other organizations, this information is encrypted using proprietary encryption algorithms and stored on environments physically separated from environments with online access. Card information is kept only for the maximum possible duration needed in case the cardholder to requests a chargeback.
