Jim Emerich Joins Avangate Management Team as CFO

Veteran Financial Leader to Guide Avangate through Growth and Expansion

Redwood Shores, CA – October 18, 2011 – Avangate, the agile eCommerce solutions provider trusted by Software and SaaS companies to grow their business worldwide through any channel and any model, today announced the addition of Jim Emerich as Chief Financial Officer. Emerich brings over 20 years of financial leadership experience from software companies such as Salesforce.com, where he held various positions including Chief Accounting Officer, and Appirio Inc, where he was Chief Financial Officer.

This announcement signifies Avangate’s ongoing strengthening of its North American presence, following the recent appointment of Joseph G. Brown as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Michael Ni as Chief Marketing Officer/Senior Vice President of Marketing and Products. As Avangate’s Chief Financial Officer, Emerich will be responsible for overseeing all financial and general administrative departments.

Jim Emerich joins Avangate from a CFO position at Appirio Inc., a cloud computing professional services firm focused on accelerating the adoption of SaaS-based solutions, such as Salesforce.com, Google and Workday. Prior to Appirio, he was CFO at MuleSoft, a provider of open source service-oriented (SOA) infrastructure software. Emerich has also held multiple executive finance positions, including over six years at Salesforce.com, including being Chief Accounting Officer, Interim Chief Financial Officer, VP Treasury & Tax and SVP Internal Audit. He has been highly valued for his experience in leadership roles in finance and accounting for various high tech and manufacturing companies.
