The position is critical to helping to define, structure and dramatically expand the demand generation pipeline and approach at Avangate. With direct and immediate impact sales and revenue, the demand generation role will be a key pillar of our marketing team helping to manage innovative, direct marketing campaigns and optimizing Avangate’s lead generation activities, including coordinating with online and other touch points to track leads using in house CRM and lead management systems. Utilize / coordinate a mix of email, online marketing, webinars and event-based campaigns to generate new sales lead, engage existing customers and promote brand awareness.

Job responsibilities:

This role is accountable for lead targets, lead quality, conversion, demand program performance, and list appending/enrichment.

  • Responsible for overall demand generation planning and performance management including forecasting lead targets and implementing nurturing, conversion acceleration and ROI best practices throughout the customer purchase lifecycle.
  • Analyze market dynamics, target buyers, and domain expertise as input to defining segment focused programs and messaging to develop a demand generation strategy to achieve objectives.
  • Establish and document repeatable process for lead generation and follow-up by sales.
  • Build a collaborative relationship with MARCOM to train others, maintain best practices around the organization of lists, campaigns and notifications on a global basis.
  • Work closely with sales for field marketing programs, and lead qualification and nurturing.
  • Prepare weekly reports to alert sales and managers as to lead activity.
  • Track and analyze campaign effectiveness with MARCOM and Product Marketing to ascertain when campaigns are successful or need to be changed.
  • Create repeatable programs to generate and nurture leads through the marketing and sales pipeline. Must be able to take projects from concept to completion.

Job Requirements

Knowledge:

  • Passion for technology, creativity to think outside the box and leadership to execute effectively.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Understanding of global anti-spam laws is necessary.
  • Minimum of five years professional experience with a minimum of two years in software and B2B e-commerce marketing.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required as well as 2-3 years of lead generation experience.
  • Must have a proven track record of managing and delivering successful integrated lead generation campaigns.
  • Familiar with progressive profiling, data management concepts (including cleaning, de-duplication, data validation, segmentation, tagging, CRM integration), email marketing, lead scoring, lead nurturing, and demand generation reporting.
  • Strong project management and communication skills are a must.
  • Prefer experience with Marketo / Eloqua marketing automation, as well as Salesforce.com or other CRM systems.

Industry Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience with a minimum of 2 years in software and B2B e-commerce marketing.
