Rising International's portfolio includes computer antivirus, network security and anti-hacker products, being the third company in the world and the only one in China to provide a full range of information security products and professional services. The company has over 60 million personal user clients and more than 70,000 corporate customers in Asia, Europe and Northern America. Rising’s technology for the search of unknown computer viruses is recognized and protected by patents in Europe, Japan and USA.

The Challenge

Rising International came to Avangate with the need to have a full-featured and centralized eCommerce solution, with support in selling software online efficiently on all sales channels and increasing the products’ exposure on the Internet. The company found the much needed solution along with comprehensive support from the implementation and sales teams.

The main things to be considered were: having available a full-featured and user-friendly eCommerce platform, getting wide-ranging reports for all aspects of the business and optimizing the company’s products’ exposure on the Internet. Also, an important aspect was to ease the work done for handling distributors by getting a partner relationship management tool.

Avangate had to help Rising International achieve a higher degree of business efficiency and productivity by implementing a centralized platform that would include a secure ordering eCommerce solution and a partner relationship management application. Also, Avangate had to increase Rising’s products exposure on the Internet through web marketing actions.

Avangate – a perfect match

Having a proactive relationship with the eCommerce service provider is a very important issue for Rising International. This includes efficient and friendly communication with the Avangate support and sales team and working together on every aspect related to the business.

The previous experience of Avangate in the security software field with the RAV Antivirus was greatly appreciated by Rising, who was given the right tools in order to better manage the business and get more efficient.

The possibility of customizing the integrated platform to fit the requirements, becoming a true business intelligence solution, was truly appreciated by Rising International. This includes the user-friendly interface and the functionality of the eCommerce solution, which offers the opportunity to do customized actions and campaigns regarding the company’s software products, including managing the worldwide distributors, saving a lot of time, human resources and money.

The Avangate solution

Avangate offered comprehensive consultancy and did a usability audit and prototyping along with a search engine optimization (SEO) campaign. This persuaded Rising International to create a new website and to focus on getting more conversions and having a good visibility in Google.

Initially, until the new website was launched, the company requested a greater exposure to the large public for its products, including product downloads. This was done by submitting the company’s press releases to specialized PR websites and their products to dedicated download sites.

For the final touch, Avangate’s full featured partner relationship management system, ARMS, was integrated with the eCommerce platform in order to centralize all the sales channels into a single solution.

Implementation

The implementation of Rising’s requirements started immediately, with a month testing period. ARMS was integrated into the Avangate eCommerce platform and, currently, all of the company’s software sales are being processed online through Avangate, including the distribution channel sales.

The next step was to optimize the company’s product exposure on the Internet. Avangate started promoting the company’s press releases using its online PR promotion service to more than 50 dedicated websites.

Also, Avangate submitted Rising’s software products to more than 500 dedicated download websites. This is actually an ongoing process, which insures the high numbers regarding product downloads.
