Software: The Canadian based company creates software for producers of audio and video content to help them work faster and have more fun. The products use sophisticated media analysis to synchronize audio and video recordings without the need for timecode, clappers or any special preparation. They are used by everyone from high-end professionals to enthusiastic hobbyists to create multi-camera, dual-system audio and many other kinds of productions that employ several recording devices.

Singular Software started selling software online with Avangate as eCommerce partner in May 2009.

Avangate helped us scale very smoothly. At the growth rate we’ve had we would have run out of resources.

Singular Software noted a staggering 121% month-on-month increase in sales since May 2009, with a 110% month-on-month increase during April 2010 – March 2011.

 

We’re focused on the product – is the product right for the customer, is the price right and so on. At the same time, it’s great to see a 9.5% increase in the shopping cart conversion rate generated by Avangate which in turn helps sales grow without efforts our own behalf

Following various platform improvements, the shopping cart conversion rate increased with 9.5 percentage points - from 23.7% in 2010 to 33.2% in March 2011. Some of the implementations that directly affected the conversion rate for Singular Software included several new payment methods and ordering interface languages, additional display and billing currencies, improvements in the display of the payment methods in the cart.

Our philosophy is to do the things that we are good at and outsource everything else. We wanted the online store to be managed by somebody else so we don’t have to deal with credit cards issues, taxes, payments, reporting and all the support related to this.
