Alex Hart

Alex has more than 25 years of experience and an extensive record of success in leading payment services and software businesses. He was the President & CEO of Official Payments (NASDAQ: OPAY) , from 2010 until its sale to ACI Worldwide (NASDAQ: ACIW) in 2013, and most recently assisted ACIW in both corporate development and product strategy.

Prior to Official Payments, Alex was the president of Fuelman, the private-labeled fleet card business of FleetCor (NYSE: FLT). Hart was also the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Electronic Banking Services for CheckFree (NASDAQ: CKFR), the leading banking and bill payment software and services company now owned by Fiserv (NASDAQ: FISV).

Alex joined CheckFree as a result of its 2007 acquisition of Corillian (NASDAQ: CORI), the online banking and bill payment software company that he led through an extensive transformation as president and CEO between 2002 and 2007. Prior to Corillian, Hart also held a variety of sales, marketing, and product management positions at Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT), CheckFree, and NationsBank, now Bank of America (NYSE: BAC).

Alex graduated from Harvard University.
Prior to joining Francisco Partners, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Aptean, a leading provider of enterprise application software solutions. Paul has nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience in the technology sector in roles in both public and private companies, and extensive mergers and acquisitions experience.

Prior to Aptean, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of RedPrairie Holding, Inc., a former FP portfolio company and provider of best-of-breed supply chain, workforce, and all-channel retail solutions, which merged with JDA Software, Inc. Prior to RedPrairie, he served as Chief Financial Officer of BlueCube Software, Inc. from its inception to the acquisition of the business by RedPrairie. Before BlueCube Software, Paul was Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer for Radiant Systems, Inc. and helped take the company public. Prior to joining Radiant Systems, Inc., Paul held a variety of senior positions with Price Waterhouse LLP, where he worked primarily with middle market companies and technology firms.

Paul currently serves on the Finance Committee for the Technology Association of Georgia. He is a CPA and a Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Sandip Mohapatra

Chief Operating Officer

Erich brings with him over 20 years of senior leadership, commercial, product and operations experience in growing software businesses to Avangate. Before joining Avangate, he was General Manager of North America for Viewpoint Construction Software, a leading provider of ERP solutions to the construction industry. Before that, Erich was President of the Digital Channels Division at Fiserv Inc. [NYSE: FISV], a leading global financial services technology provider.

During his tenure with Fiserv, he also served in several sales and strategy leadership roles in the Electronic Banking Services Division including SVP and GM of Consumer Services. Erich joined Fiserv through its acquisition of CheckFree [NASDAQ: CKFR], which had acquired Corillian Corporation in 2007. As EVP of Sales and Marketing at Corillian [NASDAQ: CORI], he led all sales, marketing, distribution channels, and customer relationship management for the enterprise software company.

Originally, Erich joined Corillian as General Counsel. Erich began his career in the legal profession as a Corporate Associate at both Perkins Coie LLP and O'Melveny & Myers LLP.

He earned his Bachelor's degree from UCLA and his J.D. (cum laude) from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, CA.
Sandip is an innovator and senior leader delivering business operations, technology, product, and development excellence across major enterprises. He also brings more than two decades of experience in payments, billing, and transactional processing in both public and private companies. Aligned with an innovative, strategic approach his experience allows him to understand critical performance factors and emulate best practices that drive non-stop reliable operational delivery of solutions with ongoing success to accelerate growth and profitability.

Prior to joining Avangate, Sandip worked at AT&T, Alltel, Schlumberge, Incomm, Official Payments.

Sandip holds a master's degree in statistics from Utkal University in India, a master's degree in computer science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.

Christopher Wassenaar

Cristian Badea

Chief Information Officer

Christopher is responsible for the global Risk, Compliance and Legal functions.

Christopher has held multiple executive level positions with SaaS, enterprise software and technology companies.

Prior to joining Avangate in 2015, Christopher served most recently as the General Counsel and head of human resources for PowerPlan, Inc.

Christopher received a B.A. Hons. from the University of Western Ontario, a J.D. from the University of Arkansas and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.

When not in the office, Christopher enjoys distance running, swimming and spending time with his family.
A founding member of Avangate, Cristian Badea has had a major impact over the company's strategic direction and progress over the years. He understands new trends in technology and how to successfully and efficiently align IT to business goals.

Cristian has a well rounded insight into the software industry, being a developer himself. At the same time, his expertise spans technical, financial and business areas. At Avangate, he is leading multi-departmental projects addressing solution functionality and innovation, scalability, security and efficient resource planning. An outspoken person, Cristian is a mentor and friend to colleagues and partners.

Adriana Iordan

Laurentiu Ghenciu

Vice President, EMEA Sales

Adriana is currently managing several divisions at Avangate: Affiliate Network, UX Design/ Development and Product Management and works closely with marketing, development, sales and customer care teams to deliver projects that support both company goals and client needs.

Adriana joined Avangate from Ipsos Interactive Europe in 2006 as Web Marketing Manager and in this role she has increased Avangate's online visibility and brand recognition, introduced new web marketing products and has taken the Affiliate network from birth to maturity.

With over 8 years' experience in eCommerce & online marketing strategy and planning, user experience, conversion rate analysis and product marketing applied to the software industry, Adriana also served a two year term on the Board Directors of the Association of Software Professionals until 2010.
Laurentiu has a world-class experience in digital eCommerce, SaaS and marketing, with a proven record of success in the software industry. He is also empowered with a global expertise in cross-border partnerships development, strategically integrating channel sales development and online sales consulting.

Previously the Area Sales Manager at Avira, he implemented successful and targeted strategies for the channel distribution of the company security products. He developed the International Business in the Western and Northern Europe, but also in all Africa.

In 2006, when he became an Account Executive at Avangate, he started to develop the business on the international markets with a visionary approach, paying attention to details and constantly contributing at the company revenue growth as well as its product development.

Since October 2007, as VP of Global Sales, he has been establishing key business development strategies for Avangate, establishing the world-wide sales force across Europe, Russia, China and North America. Now Laurentiu focuses on the European sales team and he personally handles the company's large corporate accounts.

As many business partners say, he really understands the software business and his result-oriented attitude architects the overall positive evolution of Avangate.
